The Finca is located in the municipality of Canillas de Aceituno (Municipal de Canillas de Aceituno) in the heart of the Axarquía region in the southeast of the province of Malaga. The villa is located 10 kilometers north of Vélez-Málaga. That means that the beach (Torre del Mar, 25 minutes' drive) and the mighty Sierra Nevada are within easy reach. In addition, you can drive from the Málaga-Costa del Sol airport to the Finca within 50 minutes.
The Finca has 1.5 acres of private land, with plenty of room for sports and games. The house itself has a spacious terrace with (heated) pool and more than enough shaded areas. The plot is bordered by a fence.

THE FINCA
The 'Andalusian style' villa has 300 m2 of living space on 1.5 hectares of land. In the main house are the entrance hall, kitchen, laundry room, dining room, sitting room with fireplace, 3 bedrooms each with 2 double beds, fitted wardrobes and 2 bathrooms, all on the ground floor. In the living room, a double sofa bed provides space for up to two additional beds.
You can also use the guest house. The guest house has an additional sitting and playing room with a billiard table, bar, kitchen, wine cellar and a bathroom, which are located in the floor below the large terrace. Four single beds are available in the guest house.
This makes the Finca ideal as vacation accommodation for family and/or a group of up to 10 to 16 people. This depends on the composition of the group.
The Finca has a huge terrace of 400 m2, including porch, swimming pool, "summer house" and a paved playing field (suitable for various ball games). Besides a lavish vegetable and herb garden, the terrace is surrounded by various (subtropical) tropical plants and flowers, and there are also Moscatel vines, fig trees and various other (subtropical) fruit trees such as Mango, Kaki, and passion fruit, among others, on the property.

Region
In the Axarquia region you will find authentic Andalusia, far away from mass tourism. The region is located east of Malaga and extends from the sea to the mountains at altitudes of more than 2000 meters. The climate is the mildest in all of Europe and nowhere else will you find more hours of sunshine per year. The region, with its capital Vélez-Malaga, is known for its olive groves and vineyards. You can also find beautiful beaches and hidden caves here.
Beach
Axarquia has extensive quiet beaches. Here you can enjoy the Mediterranean Sea and the countless beach pavilions where you can enjoy a delicious meal during the siesta. The most famous Torre del Mar is half an hour away. Rincon de la Victoria is an hour away.
Sierra Nevada
Not in the mood for the beach? The Sierra Nevada can be reached within a 2-hour drive. The winter sports area on the Penibetico mountain range has 121 km of ski slopes at an altitude between 2100 and 3300 meters. The season extends from December to April.
In the summer, the Sierra Nevada offers nice cooling when the mercury rises. The national park is very popular among mountain hikers. Mountain peaks, different types of climates, flora and fauna and white mountain villages form a beautiful backdrop.
Historic Towns
Within a radius of about an hour's drive you can visit several historic towns and white villages. Discover antiquity in El Borge, Vélez-Malaga, Algarobbo and Frigiliana. The major cities of Malaga and Nerja can also be reached within this driving distance. The famous caves of Nerja contain 20,000-year-old traces of human habitation.
Activities
The beautiful mountain ranges and the reservoir of Viñuela ensure a good climate (not too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter), and very beautiful nature (such as the natural parks of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama). This is simply fantastic for walking, cycling, climbing, rafting, you name it.
Gastronomy
Axarquia is a fertile region and has a wealth of delicious regional products such as olive oil, almonds, avocados, oranges and mangoes. The Moscatel grape is the basis of the tasty local white wine. Get to know these local delicacies along the Sun-and-Wine Route (Ruta del Sol y Vino), the Olive Oil and Mountains Route or the Moorish Route.
Also visit the weekly market in the various villages and towns.
